Graduate information technology (IT) programme

Do you have a passion for technology? Do you want to use it to deliver life-enhancing healthcare and become one of our future IT leaders?

What's information technology all about?

Information technology (IT) is all about implementing and upgrading systems as part of our strategic journey to deliver life-enhancing healthcare. With a team of 3,500 people, based in 68 countries, at over 100 sites, we have a huge global remit. Our IT network supports over 80,000 internal users and handles almost a third of a million emails and instant messages every day.

Do I have the skills?

Combining an IT or business-related degree with strong analytical, influencing and leadership skills, you'll be resilient, proactive and able to establish good working relationships. Above all, you'll be passionate about technology and delivering proactive and relevant solutions for our customers.

What will the programme be like?

We run different multi-year programmes. These give a grounding in either general IT or SAP - market leading enterprise application software that helps businesses run better. Our programmes aim to provide a talent pipeline for future IT leaders or SAP experts. They offer challenging rotations across multiple business areas. Roles could include business analyst, project manager, service analyst or solutions architect. Advanced degrees and certifications may be available based on the programme and country you join.

Where can I go?

Our graduate programmes are available in an expanding number of countries. Initial roles are within your local country, although as a truly global organisation there may be opportunities to gain international experience in the future.

What will I learn?

This will depend on the programme you join. You may have an intensive SAP 'boot-camp' to give you highly sought-after skills and a certification. Or you might develop your general IT knowledge across a range of disciplines including Six Sigma, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and project management. Whichever you join, you'll have personalised support, learning from those around you and shadowing experts. This will enable you to develop as a leader across the entire business.

How can I apply?

We are actively running programmes in the UK and the US. Other opportunities may be available – please search our jobs by country  to find out more.
