Graduate procurement programme
Do you want to learn about global procurement? Are you keen to develop skills in managing projects, negotiating with suppliers and carrying out market research and data analysis?
What's procurement all about?
Procurement is all about the buying of goods and services on a global scale. But our global procurement function is more than just purchasing. We spend billions every year to improve quality, drive down costs and ensure secure supply, in all areas of our business from consumer health products to pharmaceutical development.
Do I have the skills?
Whatever your degree, you'll need to be a self-starter with a strong interest in procurement. An excellent communicator able to establish good working relationships, you'll be resilient and commercially driven. Strong influencing, analytical and multi-tasking skills are also required.
What will the programme be like?
The programme is designed to give you a solid procurement background. Potential rotations include production, research and development (R&D), commercial and information technology (IT). You'll manage spend across a whole category, and build and run e-bid events and auctions. You’ll also get involved in project management, contracting, supplier conditioning, negotiation, data analysis, market research and liaison with internal and external parties.
Where can I go?
Our graduate programmes are available in an expanding number of countries. Initial roles are within your local country, although as a truly global organisation there may be opportunities to gain international experience in the future.
What will I learn?
After an induction process, we'll teach you how to apply best practice tools and techniques to develop and implement an integrated procurement strategy.
How can I apply?
We are actively running programmes in Belgium (Vaccines), Singapore, the US, and the UK. Other opportunities may be available – please search our jobs by country to find out more.
