Overview of Consumer Healthcare UK
As well as Macleans, Aquafresh, and Sensodyne, we own a number of leading oral healthcare brands in the denture care products and mouthwash sectors.

And if you've ever felt under the weather, chances are you've made good use of some of our popular OTC brands. Beechams, Venos and Day and Night Nurse keep colds and flu at bay, while Piriton, Piriteze and Flixonase make allergies more manageable. Then there's Zantac for stomach remedies, Eumovate for skin care, and Panadol and Solpadeine for general pain relief.

Most of our products are available over the counter in pharmacies such as Boots and Tesco, or from smaller independent retailers. Alternatively, some can be obtained on prescription, such as Niquitin CQ which has been made available by the Government as part of their focus on helping people stop smoking.

Working closely with our pharmaceutical colleagues, we're trying to encourage the switching of products from prescription to OTC, enabling people to make more informed choices about self-medication.

Our business
The global consumer healthcare turnover is £3.2 billion, driven by four main categories that include nine £100 million brands. Here in the UK, we have a turnover of £250m, thanks to our 40+ bestselling brands.

Our culture
Ours is a team of around 200 people, almost half of whom are based in the field. Because of our size, CHUK has a close-knit feel, with individuals and teams working together towards shared objectives. Along with our bold and winning attitude, there's also a real emphasis on rewarding high performance.
