Corporate staffs

Our corporate functions are based at GSK House in west London, and work with various business areas to deliver against overall organisational goals.

Human resources
As well as benefits, compensation, recruitment, organisation and leadership development, and employee health management, the HR team is also responsible for operations, strategy, communications and systems.

Finance
This function provides operational financial accounting and control services to businesses in the UK and USA on a shared services basis, with responsibility for tax and treasury, operations control, internal audit, investor relations and worldwide real estate.

Legal
Leading our commitment to high standards of integrity and compliance with the law, this team sets in place the policies, standards and guidelines that protect both our business and our people. It also provides guidance on company law, intellectual property, environmental health and safety, risk management and security through a strong account management network.

Communications
Providing consistent and coherent messages to both internal and external audiences through a variety of media and a strong account management network, the Corporate Communications and Community Partnerships function leads the management of our corporate image and reputation.

Ethics and compliance
The Corporate Ethics and Compliance programme has been established to demonstrate and implement our strong commitment to adhering to high standards of integrity and compliance with the law in everything we do.

IT
IT provides an important foundation for our business that allows us to communicate, collaborate and perform complex tasks using the latest technology. Our IT network support over 80,000 internal users and handles almost a third of a million emails and instant messages every day. To help our people work effectively, we run over 40,000 online training sessions every month.
