Montrose GMS site

Montrose is a 45 acre site established in 1952. It manufactures Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) for further processing at approximately 30 other GSK sites. APIs manufactured at the site include fluticasone and salbutamol for the GSK respiratory product line, abacavir for the treatment of HIV/AIDS, lacidipine for the treatment of hypertension and dutasteride for prostrate treatment within men, amongst others.

Location

Based on the North-East of Scotland’s coastal route, approximately 40 miles south of Aberdeen and 30 miles north of Dundee, the town of Montrose offers an idyllic setting boasting some of the finest sea cliffs on the East Coast as well as the spectacular sands of St. Cyrus and Lunan Bay.

Set between the mouths of the rivers South and North Esk, Montrose and the surrounding areas offer a variety of leisure interests as well as opportunities to explore Royal Scotland and the natural beauty that exists within Northern and North-East Scotland.
