The Programme

  • The aim of the programme is to develop highly talented graduates entering GSK to become future leaders in IT
  • Whilst on the programme, Associates are supported by a Sponsors Group, Business Unit Representatives, a Programme Manager, Line Manager, a Mentor and a Buddy.
  • Over the three years a series of different IT rotations are conducted. Rotations are generally for 12 months and give a broad level understanding of the key areas of the business.
  • A wide variety of rotations are available and can include Business Analysts, Project Managers, Service Analysts and Systems Architects.
  • In order to be successful on this programme you need to be resilient, have strong analytical skills, proactive, an effective influencer, establish good working relationships, have excellent communication skills and be passionate about IT.

Training and development

  • Training and development is undertaken in line with rotations. These courses are designed to develop specific skill sets to enable Associates perform rotations and deliverbusiness benefit to GSK.
  • Possible courses include: Business Analysis tools and techniques, Project Management, Six Sigma, and IT Infrastructure Library
  • Personal Development courses may include: Presentation, Influencing and Interviewing Skills courses
