Science Technical Development Programme - Global Manufacturing and Supply (GMS)

Technical Development Programme Structure
The GMS Technical Development Programme involves three 12 month placements in at least two of our business areas, at different sites. Placements usually take place within the UK or the Republic of Ireland, but advantage is taken of overseas opportunities as they arise. When nearing the end of each placement you’ll work with the management team to identify the next business area that will be appropriate for your skill development and meet GSK’s business needs.  At the end of the programme, if you have delivered to the standards that we expect of you, you will be supported into a role within the business.

Training and development
The GMS Technical Development Programme programme will provide you with a variety of challenges that will push you to your limits , but will be underpinned by the appropriate levels of support and training. In return we will expect you to deliver, to a high standard, against the challenges and opportunities that are offered to you.

    • Lean Sigma – LMLS training and Green Belt Accreditation

    • Professional/technical mentor (eg for Chartership)
