The Consumer Healthcare division of GSK is looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to work with our Sales team to deliver key brands such as Lucozade, Ribena, Aquafresh, Sensodyne and Beechams, to some of the UK's big retailers such as Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda and Morrisons.
The placement provides the candidate with excellent commercial exposure within a dynamic FMCG environment, plus a solid foundation into the key financial rigour required within one of the biggest healthcare companies in the world.

Key responsibilities
Commercial Finance Analysis and Decision Support:
- Key business partner for the Sales team who generate over £800m of turnover
- Assistance in the preparation of analysis for monthly meetings with the business's Leadership Team
- Providing commercial decision support, employing analytical methods and modeling techniques to create business models. The Finance IP would typically present insights and recommendations to senior sales and finance management
- Identification of key information from Tesco, Sainsbury's and Morrisons websites to track sales performance
- Liaising with National Account Managers to adapt and update their joint business plans with their retailers
- Opportunities to get involved in extracurricular activities such as the Charity & Newsletter teams
Financial Reporting and Sarbanes Oxley:
- Manage sales finance month end processes to ensure all relevant accruals and releases are processed
- Preparing documentation to adhere to Sarbanes Oxley requirements, liaising with senior management and auditors
Preferred skills
- Studying a numeracy based degree e.g. Business, Finance, Maths or Economics, aiming for 2.1 or above
- Proactive, confident and good interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
- Ability to work successfully as part of a wider cross functional team
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff of varying levels
- Literate with Excel
