Our commitment to you

Starting out
The first step towards a successful career is an effective orientation programme. This will give you a good insight into the diverse nature of our business and the innovative products we develop to help people around the world lead longer, healthier, happier lives. Following that, you'll take part in a cultural leadership module and have a separate orientation session focused on Pharma International. You'll also have meetings with key players in the business and undertake a teambuilding activity to help you start putting together your own support network.

Training and development
Great leaders aren't made overnight, so we've mapped out an intensive programme of roles that will give you unprecedented access to various areas of our business. In turn, this will give you the perspective and experience you'll need for your future career.

Unlike other development programmes, this one doesn't involve short-term placements. Instead, you'll take on long-term roles, both within your home region and in an English speaking market. These could range from six to 18 months, and will see you taking on all kinds of high profile activities for a country or joining the management team for your region. Either way, your skills and initiative will be continually stretched.

Support and mentoring
Although you'll be taking on challenging roles right from the start, we'll make sure you have all the support and guidance you need along the way. That means regular exposure to senior management, a strong programme of development interventions to support your progression as a business leader, and one-to-one coaching around key areas. You'll also be assigned a mentor who'll be able to supervise your development and offer a global perspective on your work.
