Key facts

An Industrial placement is a work placement carried out as part of a sandwich degree course and is usually six or twelve months long
You must be on a sandwich degree and be taking the industrial placement as a recognised sandwich year to be eligible
Recruitment takes place annually in Autumn, with start dates July-September

An Industrial placement at GSK will offer you the opportunity to develop the skills you have learnt at university in a practical environment, as well as learning several new ones.
When Industrial placement students join GSK their manager will set objectives for the year through the performance development planning process.
Training offered will be tailored to meet individual needs
Through their day to day role and interactions a student's personal skill base will be developed throughout their placement year. These include: communication, planning and organising, problem solving, teamwork, confidence and networking skills.
