Pharmaceutical Marketing Summer Internship

It is against a background of significant growth and dynamic change, both within GSK and the healthcare environment that GSK UK is looking to recruit the next generation of senior leaders.

We are offering you the opportunity to work for up to 10 weeks of your vacation with senior managers within GSK’s UK Commercial business. You will be provided with a challenging assignment/s which will be underpinned by the appropriate levels of support and training.

  • Placements will run from 16th June to 22nd August 2008.
  • Location: Stockley Park site near Uxbridge in West London.
  • Salary - £15,750 per annum pro-rated, paid monthly.

In order to be successful in this role we are looking for the following:

  • You must be in your penultimate year of study – the internship should take place in the summer vacation prior to your final year
  • Expecting a 2.1 or higher on a business studies related degree course and must be eligible to work in the UK for the duration of the placement
  • Have led a team/club/society and A Level/s in science-related subjects
  • Interested in pursuing a career in marketing on completion of your degree
  • Previous work experience in any field
  • Demonstrate leadership potential
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to build good working relationships across all levels of seniority within the organisation.
  • Able to effectively influence key stakeholders
  • Pro-active and enthusiastic approach and computer literate

If your application is successful, the first stage of our assessment is a telephone interview. The second stage of assessment is a selection day which will be held on 11-12 March 2008 in Brentford, West London.
