Hans Wijers – Independent Non-Executive Director

Hans is a Non-Executive Director and Chairman designate of Heineken NV and also Deputy Chairman and Non-Executive Director of Royal Dutch Shell. He is also Chairman of the supervisory board of AFC Ajax.

Hans has a broad range of business, economic and political experience, having served as Chief Executive Director and Chairman at Akzo Nobel NV from 2002 to 2012. He has had a long and distinguished career in academia, public service and strategy consulting, and he served as senior vice president of the Boston Consulting Group from 1998 to 2002.
