Hija's story
Hija Yusufu Mwago contracted the illness at the age of 22, and at that time received little or no help with the disease. Unable to work regularly and forced to rest, he found life hard, changing jobs on a regular basis as employers lost their confidence in him. Then the LF program came and provided treatment which began to provide him some relief allowing Hija to go back to what he loved doing, carpentry and cultivating his farm.
