outlines how we approach some of the important issues we face in running our business and reports some of our achievements.
For example in 2003 we:
invested a total of £338 million in global community activities, product donations and charitable contributions
donated 94 million albendazole tablets, worth £10.9 million to support the prevention of lymphatic filariasis
increased shipments of our Combivir HIV/AIDS treatment at preferential prices to the developing world to nearly 11 million tablets, up 74% from 2002
formally adopted Corporate Responsibility Principles to provide clarity around our commitments
had 9000 managers certify their compliance with our Code of Conduct, including their agreement to support their staff to do the same
