Our Pharmaceuticals business is divided into four regions: North America, Europe, Emerging Markets Asia Pacific (EMAP), and Japan. Our commercial operating model enables us to "think globally, act locally". Whether you are seeking an alliance partner to launch a new product, co-promote an existing product, or expand access for your product, we can help. We are open to collaborations at a global, regional and individual country level as well as potentially sharing territories.

We have a proven track record of success with:

  • new product launches – including products of our alliance partners
  • market access – with expertise in pricing, reimbursement and health outcomes
  • patient access to medicines – ranging from assisting patients with medicines they cannot afford to providing biosimilars and branded generics in emerging markets

We are interested in marketed products and assets in late stage development. Your products will benefit from our in-depth understanding of patients, providers and payers and will benefit from our extensive marketing, sales and market access expertise.

Areas of specific interest are primary care, hospital and specialty products, in the following areas:

  • cardiovascular
  • metabolic
  • neurosciences
  • respiratory
  • urology
  • dermatology (through our skin care specialist company Stiefel)
  • immunology
  • oncology
  • vaccines

However, we are open to discussing opportunities in other areas as well. In addition, we are open to exploring innovative collaboration options in Canada using our capabilities to help you build your own presence or pursue a "go it alone" strategy.


Europe Pharmaceuticals

In Europe our interest is focused on recently-launched products and assets in late stage development. Your products will benefit from regional reach and local presence. Our direct commercial operations in every European country allows us to maximise opportunities and manage effectively the complex diversity of market access needs across the region.


EMAP Pharmaceuticals

In the Emerging Markets Asia Pacific region we are looking for marketed or late life-cycle products, biosimilar candidates and branded generics. Your products will be promoted alongside flagship GSK brands in the region and will benefit from our strong local presence and deep market understanding. Our focused growth strategy enables us to provide high-quality, affordable medicines of value to patients across the region and can also benefit your products.


Japan Pharmaceuticals

In Japan we are interested in marketed products and assets in late stage development. Your products will benefit from our in-depth understanding of Japanese patients and our local marketing, sales and market access expertise, as well as local clinical development and regulatory expertise.
