Climb on record. Mogens Jensen is climbing Everest with Himalayan Experience, a commercial company that provides him with the necessary logistics such as sherpa guides, tents and food.

He was accompanied by 11 other climbers from countries such as Switzerland, Lebanon, New Zealand and the USA, each of whom paid the company
to join the climb.

The Discovery Channel filmed Mogens during his climb to the summit.

In addition, Discovery Channel sent four cameramen with the group. The cameramen, who filmed Mogens in training in Denmark, are all experienced mountaineers and filmed him and the others on the climb and his attempt at the summit.

Acclimatisation

Before the attempt on the summit, acclimatisation saw Mogens go up some way, then descend.

Six programmes of one hour each on Mogens and his colleagues are scheduled to be screened by the Discovery Channel in late 2006 or early 2007.
