This project uses the experiences of companies implementing comprehensive HIV and AIDS policies to develop materials that will assist in that implementation. Recognising that it has been a significant obstacle for companies offering care and treatment, Positive Action at Work has focused on tackling the problem of stigma.
On these web pages you will find the new tools and materials that have been developed with companies and are now available to you, rights free. Action plans, leaflets, posters and peer education materials can be downloaded.
Around the world Positive Action at Work is also distributing materials through partners like the National AIDS Trust, the Kenya HIV/AIDS Business Council and the Mexican business council.
If you use any of our materials we would welcome feedback. If your organisation would like to customise, translate or adapt any of the Positive Action at work materials please contact us.
In recent years numerous organisations have compiled guidance for private and public sector employers on what their responses to HIV and AIDS should look like.
In this table we have pulled together three in particular: the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS (GBC), the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the International Finance Corporation's IFC Against AIDS.
If you are mounting a comprehensive response to AIDS you may wish to compare your own plans or programme with this checklist and use it to monitor your progress.
