Diabetes UK

Diabetes UK is the leading charity working for people with diabetes, funding research, campaigning and helping people to live with the condition.

Diabetes UK represents the interests of people with diabetes by lobbying the government for better standards of care and the best quality of life.

Diabetes UK mission is to improve the lives of people with diabetes and to work towards a future without diabetes.

We have supported this organisation since 1994.

During 2006:

  • We gave an educational grant of £25,080 to support the Diabetes UK Professional Conference.
  • We gave a medical fellowship grant of £3,500 to support the maintenance of the Young Diabetologists Federation website.
  • In addition we gave a medical fellowship grant of £2,010 to support Diabetes UK Cymru’s All Wales Diabetes Professional Conference and their Gwobrau Cymru - volunteers event.

Our funding represents 0.01 per cent of their income overall.
