Down's Syndrome Association

The Association aims to focus on all aspects of living successfully with Down’s syndrome.  Providing information, counselling and support for people with the condition, their families and carers, as well as being a resource for interested professionals, the aim to improve knowledge of the condition and champion the rights of people with Down’s syndrome.

We have supported this organisation since 2003.

During 2006:

• Our charitable donation of £10,000 was in support of a small photographic exhibition exhibited in June 2006. 
• A further donation of £101,500 was made to sponsor a three year 'A Life and Living’ photographic exhibition called 'Shifting Perspectives' which is designed to question perceived sterotypes and demonstrate that people living with Down's Syndrome lead successful and fulfilling lives.  The exhibitions will be run in conjunction with Down Syndrome Awareness Week in 2007, 2008 and 2009 and will tour various cities within the UK.

Our funding represents 6.03 per cent of their income overall.
