Epilepsy Scotland

Epilepsy can affect anyone at anytime. Nearly 40,000 people in Scotland are affected by the condition and Epilepsy Scotland helps those effected.

Epilepsy Scotland directly involves people with epilepsy in campaigning for better services. They work to ensure that people with epilepsy have high standards of medical care, easy access to information and support and not experience prejudice.

We have supported this group since 2000.

During 2007:

  • We gave a Medical Fellowship grant of £350 to support the Fringe Meeting of the Long Term Conditions Alliance at the Liberal Democrats Conference on 16 February 2007.
  • We gave a Medical Fellowship grant of £1,740 to support two fundraising dinners with briefing on the burden of epilepsy in Scotland, held on 22 March and 23 May 2007.

Our funding represents less than 1 per cent of their income overall.
