Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB)

The RNIB’s mission is to challenge blindness by empowering people with a visual impairment, removing the barriers they face and helping to prevent blindness.

We have supported this organisation since 2002.

During 2007:

  • We gave a charitable donation of £121,637, the first of three annual donations, in support of the RNIB's 'Emotional Support and Counselling Pilot Project'. This project will be run at RNIB's Low Vision Centre and in partnership with Sight Service at their Low Vision Centre in Gateshead.

Our funding represents 1 per cent of their income overall.
