Activities in sensitive countries

We and our employees observe any trading controls required by law. However, as a pharmaceutical company we aim to provide medicines and vaccines in all countries that need and wish to purchase them. To do otherwise would be unethical.

We have had a long-standing commitment and presence in many countries, which pre-date the introduction of oppressive or draconian regimes and the subsequent introduction of measures such as trade embargoes. During periods of government imposed trade embargoes, we have, subject to any specific legal restrictions, continued operations due to the important nature and need for our products.

While operating in these countries, we support and are committed to upholding the Universal declaration of human rights and the core standards set out by the International Labour Organisation. We also commit to observing all the laws and regulations of any of the countries in which we operate.
