Freedom of association

In line with the requirements of international and local laws and the Conventions of the International Labour Organisation, we support freedom of association and the right of employees to organise and bargain collectively. Employees are free to join trade unions anywhere in GSK around the world, except where this is prevented by national law.

We do not have a centralised data collection system to track union membership, however we believe the majority of our 33,000 manufacturing staff are represented by unions. This represents about one third of our workforce.
