Europa Donna (ED)

ED, the European Breast Cancer Coalition, is an independent non-profit organisation whose members are affiliated groups from countries throughout Europe. The Coalition works to raise awareness of breast cancer and to mobilise the support of European women in pressing for improved breast cancer education, appropriate screening, optimal treatment and increased funding for research. ED represents the interests of European women regarding breast cancer to local and national authorities as well as to institutions of the EU.

We have worked with Europa Donna since 2005.

During 2010:

  • We gave an unrestricted grant of €50,000 to help them with their activities. . 

Our support represents 10.4% of their overall income.



During 2009:

  • We gave an unrestricted grant of €50,000 to help them with their activities. 

Our support represents 12.6% of their overall income.



During 2008:

  • We gave an unrestricted grant of €50,000 to help them with their activities
  • In addition we gave a €500 honorarium and travel expenses for a board member of Europa Donna to give a presentation on the role of EuropaDonna in Europe and to share her experience of living with breast cancer at an internal GSK meeting. 

Our support represents 6.6% of their overall income.



During 2007:
  • We gave an unrestricted grant of €50,000 to help them with their activities  
  • We gave an additional unrestricted grant of €10,000 during Breast Cancer Awarness month in October as part of an internal disease awareness programme. 

Our funding represents 12.5% of their income overall.

  • We gave an unrestricted grant of €50,000 to help them with their activities.
