Patient group funding

The European Institute of Women's Health (EIWH)

The European Institute of Women’s Health is a non-governmental organisation working to make the health and well being of women a priority for the European Commission and Member States of the European Union.

We have supported this organisation since 2005.

During 2010:

  • We gave an unrestricted grant of €20,000 to help them with their activities
Our support represents 14% of their overall income



During 2009:

  • We gave an unrestricted grant of €20,000 to help them with their activities

Our support represents 10% of their overall income



During 2008:

  • We gave an unrestricted grant of €20,000 to help them with their activities
  •   In addition we gave an honorarium and expenses of €300 to EIWH for the Director to take part in an internal training event  

Our support represents approximately 12% of their overall income



During 2007:

  • We gave an unrestricted grant of €20,000 to help them with their activities
  • We gave an educational grant of €445.76 for travel and accomodation to allow the Director to attend the EU Voice Conference 18/19 March 07 
  • We gave an educational grant of €3000 to support a project to look at how to address the health issues of muslim women in a culturally sensitive manner.    

Our funding represents 12.5% of their income overall.



During 2006:

  • We gave an unrestricted grant of €20,000 to help them with their work
  • We also gave EIWH €869.41 (honorarium and travel) to support the Director General to attend GSK's European Health Advisory Board meeting

Our funding represents 13% of their income overall.
