Chile
The following group was supported by Chile in 2010:
Vivo Positivo - Chile
Vivo Positivo works to ensure suitable and comprehensive medical care of HIV positive patients in Chile. They provide psychological and legal counselling, implement prevention campaigns and leisure activities for their members.
We have supported this group since 2005.
During 2010:
- We gave a grant of 5,000,000 CLP to support three projects (i) Maintenance of www.vivopositivo.org web site (ii) Activities related of HIV world day and (iii) Ongoing activities of patient education .
Our support does not exceed 25% of VIVO POSITIVO’s annual income.
During 2009:
- We gave a CLP 7000000 grant to support the publication of 2 issues of institutional journal, 5000 units per issue; maintenance of Institutional website; institutional radio show "Un diálogo Positivo en Vivo" at Radio Tierra and regular training activities for members on: adherence to ARV therapy, self-care and health promotion, organizational development, human and civilian rights.
Our funding represents less than 25% of their income overall.
During 2008:
- We gave a CLP 7000000 grant to be used in the funding of 4 issues of the patient’s organisation journal, maintenance of organisation web site, celebration of world AIDS day and attendance of one member to AIDS 2008 in Mexico.
Our funding represents less than 25% of their income overall.
During 2007:
- We gave a grant of $10,500 to support the organisations 10th anniversary activities to raise awareness of HIV and AIDS.
