BLISS - The Premature Baby Charity
BLISS was established 27 years ago, and is the only national organisation dedicated to working for special care babies and their families.
They support parents through a dedicated Family Support Team who operate a Freephone Helpline, online interactive parent message board and provide email support, online information and free publications.
They produce a comprehensive Parent Information Guide that is free to parents via neonatal units and available over the phone or through their website. It is also stocked by 85% of neonatal units as they try and ensure that every parent has access to this valuable information.
We are a new supporter of this group in 2007.
During 2007:
- We gave an unrestricted Medical Fellowship grant of £500 to support BLISS for the benefit of patients as part of our annual employee charity nomination scheme.
Our funding represents less than 0.03% of their income overall.
