Centre of African Families Positive Health (CAFPH)
CAFPH mission is to provide support and assistance to African men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS in Bedfordshire and surrounding areas, in order to combat isolation, fear and stigma, enhance self esteem and quality of life and improve uptake of services.
We have supported this group since 2006.
During 2006:
- We gave a medical fellowship grant of £5,000 to support the development of ‘Positive Speakers’ who could act as role models within their relevant communities. The development was based around improving speaker skills and increasing knowledge of healthcare/social options available for communities affected.
Our funding represents 5% of their income overall.
