Cancer Care Cymru
Cancer Care Cymru is a unique cancer charity which has been developed specifically to provide information, support and care for people in Wales affected by cancer.
Cancer Care Cymru's main aim is to fund specialist nurses to work alongside NHS staff in Welsh hospitals. In particular to work alongside consultants in out patient clinics when patients are first told they have cancer and need support throughout diagnosis and treatment.
We are a new supporter of this organisation in 2008.
During 2008:
- We gave a grant of £680.32 to help support the costs of purchasing a new laptop computer following a burglary at the Cancer Centre.
- We gave a grant of £100 to support the attendance of a Cancer Care Cymru representative at the International Gynaecological Cancer Society Conference in Bangkok, 25-28 October 2008.
Our support represents approximately 0.099% of their overall funding.
