Changing Faces

Changing Faces supports and represents people who have disfigurements to the face, hand or body from any cause.  They were founded in 1992 by James Partridge OBE, Chief Executive, who was injured in a car fire when he was 18 years old. Today they have a team of 25 professionals with expertise in psychology, education, employment, health and social care, media and campaigning.

Their work involves:

  • Providing personal support for children, young people, adults and families.
  • Working with schools, employers, health and social care professionals to ensure a culture of inclusion for people with disfigurements.
  • Campaigning for social change by working with the media, government and opinion leaders.

We are a new supporter of this organisation in 2008.

During 2008:

  • We gave an unrestricted core funding grant of £375 to support Changing Faces for the benefit of patients, following a charity team building event at the 2008 Medical Conference.

Our support represents 0.03% of their overall funding.
