Europa Donna UK Forum
Europa Donna (ED), the European Breast Cancer Coalition, is an independent non-profit organisation whose members are affiliated groups from countries throughout Europe.
The UK Forum works to raise awareness of breast cancer and to mobilise the support of women in pressing for improved breast cancer education, appropriate screening, optimal treatment and care and increased funding for research.
We have supported this group since 2006.
During 2009:
- We gave £1,500 to support the cost of hosting the “Breast Screening: what of the future?” event at the Institute of Physics on 13th January 2010, and production of a post-event newsletter.
Our support represents 21.5% of their overall income.
During 2008:
- We gave a grant of £1,000 to support the EUROPA DONNA UK Forum annual lecture ‘Perspectives on breast cancer detection, management and outcome’ and reception at the House of Commons on 12th November, and the production of a post-event newsletter.
Our support represents 22.5% of their overall funding.
During 2006:
- We gave a medical fellowship grant of £2,000 to support UK Forum of Europa Donna’s annual lecture and reception at the House of Commons, Westminster in November. Professor Amanda Ramirez, Director, Cancer Research UK London Psychosocial group spoke on ‘Promoting early presentation with breast cancer’. Our funding also supported the production of the 2006 newsletter
Our funding represents 36% of their overall income.
