Muscular Dystrophy Campaign

The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is the leading UK charity focusing on all types of muscular dystrophies and allied neuromuscular disorders. For more than 50 years the charity has funded world-class research into the development of treatments and cures and also provides practical and emotional support, grants for specialist equipment and campaigning for change.

We have supported this organisation since 2000.

During 2010:

  • We paid a speaker honorarium and expenses totalling £131 for a presentation given at a GSK internal Patient Insight Seminar at Stevenage on 2 December

Our support represents 0.003% of their overall income.

During 2007:

  • We gave a donation of £25,000 in support of the charity's Young Pavement Artist Competition to be run in 2008/09.

Our funding represents 0.4% of their income overall.

In 2006:

  • We gave a charitable donation of £166,896 to fund a three year research programme on preventing transmission of genes in DNA disorders

Our funding represents 2.50% of their income overall.
