Myasthenia Gravis Association

The Myasthenia Gravis Association was established as a self-help group in 1968 and became a Registered Charity in May 1976. It is the only United Kingdom charity dedicated to supporting people who have MG.

We have supported this organisation since 2006.

During 2008:

  • A donation of £174,175 was made in support of the charity's programme to provide specialist nurses to five regional locations in the United Kingdom trained to support individuals and their carers suffering from Myasthenia Gravis, a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disorder. This is GSK's third year of support for this three year programme.

Our support represents 17.28% of their overall funding.



During 2007:

  • A donation of £171,935 was made in support of the charity's programme to provide specialist nurses to five regional locations in the United Kingdom trained to support individuals and their carers suffering from Myasthenia Gravis, a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disorder. This is GSK's second year of support for this three year programme.  

Our funding represents 21.33% of their income overall.



In 2006:

  • A charitable donation of £177,615 was made to cover the first year of a three year programme to provide specialist nurses to five regional locations in the UK trained to support individuals and their carers suffering from Myasthenia Gravis, a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disorder.

Our funding represents 13.56% of their income overall.
