Princess Royal Trust for Carers (PRTC)

The Princess Royal Trust for Carers (PRTC) is the largest provider of comprehensive carers support services in the United Kingdom. Through its unique network of 133 independently managed Carers' Centres and interactive websites, Carers.org and YC Net, The Trust currently provides quality information, advice and support services to almost a 310,000 carers, including 15,500 young carers.

We have supported this organisation since 1998.

During 2008:

  • We made a donation of £59,218 in support of the PRTC's Out of Hospital project which aims to identify best practice for carers in terms of working practice, strategic policy and performance outcomes within hospitals, Public Health organisations and Primary Care centres.

Our support represents 0.94% of their overall funding.



During 2007:

  • We made a donation of £74,799 in support of the PRTC's Out of Hospital project which aims to identify best practice for carers in terms of working practice, strategic policy and performance outcomes within hospitals, Public Health organisations and Primary Care centres. This is the second year of GSK's support for this three year programme 

Our funding represents 1.3% of their income overall.



In 2006:

  • Our £10,000 charitable donation funded production and distribution of a final report with regards to the Dissemination of the Primary Care Work research programme. A further charitable donation of £64,625 was made to support a three year programme 'Out of Hospital' project which aims to identify best practice for carers in terms of working practice, strategic policy and performance outcomes within hospitals, Public Health organisations and Primary Care centres.

Our funding represents 1% of their income overall.
