What’s pharmaceutical sales and marketing all about?
Our 2½-year pharma sales and marketing graduate programme aims to develop our future commercial business leaders. Challenging placements will give you the chance to develop a range of business skills and a deep understanding of the UK healthcare environment.
Do I have the skills?
We’re interested in graduates from all disciplines with a minimum 2:1 degree. You'll be a resilient, commercially driven self-starter, with the communication skills to express your own opinions, establish good working relationships and influence key stakeholders.
What will the programme be like?
The programme involves taking on sales and marketing roles in our UK commercial business. The 2½ years will be split into:
- three 6-month marketing placements working with key brands
- 6 months as a sales representativ
- 6 months in an NHS-based placement
The programme is mainly located in Stockley Park, near Uxbridge in West London. However, location flexibility is required for the sales placement along with a UK valid driving licence.
Where can I go?
You’ll be developed and supported every step of the way along the programme. Before the end of each placement, you’ll work with the programme manager to identify your next placement. Each placement will be appropriate to your skills development and business needs. Initial roles are within the UK, although, as a truly global organisation there may be opportunities to gain international experience in the future.
What will I learn?
The programme will give you an in-depth insight into our UK commercial business and the company as a whole. The range of placements will allow you to gain a breadth of experience. While on the programme, you’ll be able to rely on the advice and support of a sponsors group, your programme and line managers, a mentor (a senior member of your team) and a 'buddy' (a current graduate).
How can I apply?
Applications are now closed for our programmes starting in 2013. Details of the 2014 programmes will be posted in September 2013.
