Graduate science programme
Do you want to join a science-led global business and deliver four billions packs of medicines and healthcare products annually?
Our manufacturing science scheme give first-hand experience of manufacturing in and out of the lab, with exposure to top-quality people, processes and technology.
What’s manufacturing science all about?
Science is all about providing the bedrock of our success and our scientists are among the world leaders in their fields. If you join our UK science graduate programme within global manufacturing and supply (GMS), you'll be part of a global network that uses a variety of processes and the most efficient technology. These enable us to deliver four billion packs of medicines and healthcare products every year, and supply one quarter of the world’s vaccines.
We're proud of our technical development programme and the role it plays in developing our technical leaders for the future.
Do I have the skills?
You'll need to have a BSc, Masters or PhD in a relevant science subject or be on track for at least a 2.1 or above. You will have the tenacity and resilience to drive projects forward. In and out of the lab, you'll have excellent communication skills and a passion for healthcare.
What will the programme be like?
This three-year programme involves three different rotations across the UK and the Republic of Ireland, with the potential to move overseas. Rotations will give you wide experience within different roles and working environments.
Throughout the scheme, you'll have numerous opportunities to meet with other GMS graduates for training, development and our annual, global networking event. You'll undertake a number of core training and personal development courses, alongside additional opportunities arranged using your personal training budget. These will be tailored to suit your development needs.
Where can I go?
Throughout the programme, you’ll receive feedback from key stakeholders, helping you develop both technically and professionally. The rotational programme has been developed to incorporate both the needs of the business and your own personal development. By moving into different sectors of GMS you will be able to further your experiences and plan your career path after completing the scheme.
What will I learn?
Part of a vibrant, global scientific community, you’ll work in teams that combine a mix of disciplines. We’re at the cutting edge of science and technology, so you’ll never be far from an expert who can help you to learn, grow and contribute to our business.
How can I apply?
Applications are now closed for our programmes starting in 2013. Details of the 2014 programmes will be posted in September 2013.
