What's Esprit commercial all about?
Our Esprit commercial programme is all about developing the future leaders of our global business. It offers unique access to a commercial management career in global healthcare through challenging roles in locations worldwide. Depending on your interest and experience, we have programmes that focus on traditional pharmaceutical or consumer goods management.
What will the programme be like?
The four-year programme is tailored to enable high-potential people to develop their knowledge and broaden their global business perspective. You'll take on a series of stretching commercial management roles, both within your home region and international markets. These involve management at a national or regional level and usually focus on sales, marketing and market access.
Where can I go?
Esprit commercial is a truly global programme, with an international rotation in every other placement. You’ll work where you're most needed, gaining the best knowledge and experience. So you could find yourself anywhere from Africa to Australia, Chile to China, Europe to the US.
What will I learn?
We will give you an unrivalled variety of experience across our diverse commercial business. Challenging rotations will help you understand commercial excellence. You’ll have all the guidance you need through a dedicated mentor, regular exposure to senior management, development courses and one-to-one coaching to support your development as a business leader. Team-building activities will also help you put together your own support network.
Do I have the skills?
We’re looking for exceptional MBAs with strong commercial acumen and strategic decision-making skills. You must have a track record of delivering significant value in a leading commercial, financial or consulting environment – ideally within a pharmaceutical, biotech, FMCG or consulting organisation. You'll also be flexible and mobile enough for a global career, combining strong English skills with the ability to adapt quickly to regional differences. The roles will require you to manage processes, decisions and conflicts with clarity.
When can I start?
Our recruitment cycle starts in the summer, with successful candidates usually joining the programme from May to September the following year.
