BodyWorks On Tour: Glasgow Science Centre

The Glasgow Science Centre creates interactive experiences that inspire, challenge and engage to increase awareness of science for all in Scotland. GSK has sponsored its BodyWorks On Tour programme since it launched in July 2008. BodyWorks On Tour is an education-outreach programme, bringing to life the science behind the human body through engaging shows, exhibits and interactive workshops.

Examples of programme content include Body Vision, an exciting 3 dimensional journey through the human body to explore health-related areas of fitness, providing the opportunity to explore physiology and anatomy-themed exhibits. All exhibitions are supported by online resources for students, teachers and families.

Since it launched, BodyWorks On Tour has engaged with nearly 200,000 individuals, four times the original prediction of 50,000. To build on this success, the programme is being extended for a further three years to provide high quality science education to a range of audiences.

GSK is supporting the development of the Bodyworks programme, expecting to reach a further 200,000 participants in the next three years bringing stimulating and inspiring science education to people all over Scotland.
