Oncology Case PHD Scholarship

At GSK we recognise that collaborations with academic researchers are a vital component of our R&D activities. Working together can help us to advance our scientific understanding in key therapeutic areas and aid the discovery and development of new medicines.

In 2011, we launched a PhD Scholarship programme in the field of oncology/haematology to demonstrate our commitment to working in partnership with the academic community.

The aim of the GSK Oncology CASE PhD Scholarship is to provide an opportunity for academic collaboration and offer a first-class training experience within GSK Oncology R&D.

The recipient of the 2011 award was Dr Melania Capasso from The Barts Cancer Institute in London, for her research proposal on lymphoma treatment.

We are delighted to announce that we will be offering a further oncology scholarship in 2012 to commence in October 2013. Applications are now closed, but if you have any questions about the scholarship please contact phd.scholarship@gsk.com.
