GSK STEM Education brings real world science to life in the classroom.

There is a global shortage of high-calibre graduates in the field of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).

We know our scientists of the future are in school classrooms today. So as an innovative, science-led company GSK is enthusiastic about inspiring, educating, recruiting and developing the next generation of talent who will deliver the ground-breaking ideas of the future and new cures for diseases.

School programmes

GSK’s strategy is to provide inspiring and engaging programmes showing real world application of science.  For instance, we partner with McLaren Formula 1 to support the next generation every step of the way with schools programmes.

Our GSK STEM Ambassadors volunteered 3000 hours and visited more than 350 schools in 2016, sharing their passion for science with students across the UK. Most of our ambassadors are signed up to the STEM Learning scheme, a UK Government-funded programme to increase young people's choices in science and technology subjects. We’re also proud supporters of the Telegraph STEM Awards 2017.
