Redefining our approach to healthcare

Our Esprit R&D development programme is currently seeking scientific and medical experts to support us as we revolutionise and redefine GSK’s approach to healthcare. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to develop and give you the autonomy to apply your scientific capabilities to help shape the fluid R&D environment.

It is an exciting time at as we are redefining R&D at GSK, with a focus on creating a new, best in-class scientific organization integrating the best practices from our existing Pharmaceutical and Vaccine divisions.

We understand, our company will look very different in ten years’ time, and we are looking for people to help drive this change through R&D.

Who are we looking for the 2021 Esprit R&D leadership development programme?

This is a technical role, with the opportunity for matrix and/or thought leadership responsibilities. You will be empowered to be creative, collaborative, ambitious and bold, to solve novel R&D problems and have the potential to directly impact patients’ futures. We are currently recruiting for the following Esprit R&D Programs: 

GSK 2021 R&D Esprit - Physicians Oncology Medical Affairs (MBBS or MD)

The programme is GSK’s leading global talent development program which builds a pipeline of talent, with the right technical capabilities and behaviours to drive our future strategic direction. 

You will be qualified with Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or Medical Doctor (MD). You may have a dynamic and varied career experience (minimum of 3-7 years) either within a clinical, academic, pharmaceutical or biotech environment but are eager to become an astounding leader.

GSK 2021 R&D Esprit - Scientists (PharmD / PhD Oncology Medical Affairs)

Do you have a scientific background (PhD/PharmD) with strategic mindset, strong technical skills and the ability to contribute and lead in a fast paced and changing environment? Do you want to join the GSK Oncology team and contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of innovative, life changing medicines to Patients?

You will be qualified with PharmD or, PhD in biology/chemistry, genetics or a closely related field.

GSK 2020 R&D Esprit - Clinical Sciences Development (MBBS or MD)

This is an exciting opportunity to channel your passion for clinical research to help shape the future of the Clinical Sciences function and to revolutionise the way in which GSK conducts its R&D in the future.

You will be qualified with Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or Medical Doctor (MD). You may have a dynamic and varied career experience either within a clinical, academic, or pharmaceutical/biotech environment with a demonstrable interest in learning more about clinical research.
