Hello

I’m Carolina, I studied Human Resources at university and I first joined GSK on an internship whilst at university. I was offered a few fantastic opportunities while applying for internships. One of them was a theme park, which, I have to admit, seemed pretty exciting to my 19-year-old self. However, I chose GSK for two main reasons: one, was the fact that it’s considered a very good employer; the second was because its mission matches well with my values.

Becoming a future leader

I then joined GSK on the HR Future Leaders programme and at the moment I’m on my breadth rotation, working as a selling excellence associate. We get four rotations on the HR programme and the idea of the breadth rotation is that you go to one of the businesses you will eventually partner someday. So, I've been working outside HR as a trainer for sales reps and working on different projects for them in Argentina.

During my first year at the company, I had the opportunity to work on an innovation project, as part of a development week, where we were looking at how to develop training programmes that used artificial intelligence, AI.

I had the opportunity to visit a learning centre where people are trying to develop AI trainings for manufacturing operators, so they can rehearse how to manipulate vaccines using virtual reality and then take that and apply it in the real world. It was truly ground-breaking innovation and great to have the opportunity to have that kind of experience.

I recently made a recruitment video for the Argentina market and my advice was if you want to have a stretching career where you'll learn a lot of things from experts, professionals and be really challenged every day, but working for a good reason, GSK is the place to be.

What do I like most about working here?

The range of opportunities that just keep on appearing. Since the day I joined GSK I have found myself facing really challenging assignments, projects or roles that have really made me stretch myself and grow – which is really good.

It’s always been really ‘healthy’ stretching. I’ve always had people around me who have supported me.

Looking ahead…

My focus has always been around the experiences I will get and the expertise I will develop. I would obviously like to continue having these experiences and maybe gain some more global experience outside of Argentina as well. I really love working at GSK and considering we're a global company, and the world has so many different cultures and experiences to offer, I’m looking forward to my future challenges.
