Our commercial teams are responsible for understanding our patients, consumers and customers. They then develop and implement strategies so more people can do more, feel better and live longer.

Commercial Future Leaders programme in pharmaceuticals aims to develop our future commercial business leaders. Challenging rotations will give you the chance to develop a range of business skills and a deep understanding of the healthcare environment.

What you will do

  • Learn and represent GSK products to appropriate healthcare professionals through building capabilities in scientific knowledge, business acumen and customer engagement
  • Deliver projects in commercial functions, such as sales, along with marketing, operations or analytics
  • Learn how to prioritise and manage multiple projects, objectives and deadlines
  • Build your skills in marketing, sales and project and customer management
  • Shape your development and attend courses specific to your needs and interests
  • Challenge your agility to learn new skills and concepts

Experience and rotations

  • 2-3 years

  • 3-4 rotations

    across the core areas of our commercial business: sales, marketing and a breadth rotation

Our commercial management graduate pathway will stimulate your early career development through broad-ranging experiences. It’s our aim to equip you to become a future leader in our business. Your development will come through challenging job rotations, supported by formal learning and coaching. You’ll have the benefit of improving your commercial management skills while gaining valuable learnings on functional and interpersonal training interventions.

Your job rotations will provide a breadth of experiences across the core areas of our commercial business: sales, marketing and a breadth rotation, which will give you an opportunity to work outside commercial functions or outside Pharma business.

What happens next

After completing the programme you will off-board into a permanent role in the commercial pharma organization. The off-boarding roles vary depending on the market, your individual development plan and the business needs; for example, you can expect to off-board into roles in marketing, sales, commercial excellence, multi-channel marketing teams, etc.
